The following can be booked with your accommodation - cost per event is £3 per adult and £2 for children. We will add the cost to the price of your accommodation and pay the Highland Council on your behalf. If the event does not go ahead, your monies will be refunded.
Tuesday 3rd - Funny Faces Come along and have fun with the rangers making your own funny mask using the materials provided. Suit 8-12 years, younger kids must be accompanied.
Tuesday 3rd - Castles & Crabs. Enjoyable shore walk passing a traditional harbour & 16th castle ruins. Looking at shorelife, plants & birds.
Monday 9th - Holborn Head Sea Watch For the NWDW join the ranger at Holborn Head and look for whales,dolphins and porpoises. Telescope provided, bring binoculars.
Wednesday 11th - Skerray Pebble Art. Bring the family and join the ranger at Skerray Beach to paint your own pebble to take home. Paint/brushes provided just find a pebble.
Thursday 26th - North Sutherland Strathy Point Sea Watch Early evening watch for whales, dolphins and porpoises. Telescopes provided, bring binoculars. Very weather dependent. No Dogs! Strathy Point is about an hours drive from Dunnet Head.
Also during July - Halkirk Highland Games - dates not yet available.
